¡Arriba! ¡Arriba!

After months of terrible rain, our British weather seems to be on the mend and we are getting some very pleasant days. Who said it constantly rains in England ?

We have reached another milestone in the Sleep Angel development.  Thanks to some great work from the lovely Francesca, I have now introduced a new SleepAngel version that includes Spanish.
I have also added the feature that was often asked for in your feedback : the possibility of adding forgotten diaries.

We now support 5 languages : English, German, French, Italian and Spanish. That allows a lot of people on our planet to be able to fill their sleep diaries in a language they are comfortable with.

I am still working on some additional features, more on it later.

'til next time and in the meanwhile, may you have a great night sleep.

It looks like . . .

. . . the U.K. is having the wettest winter in 250 years (even my fellow French on the west coast are soaked).
Many of our villages have the Venice look (well, minus the Italian charm) but hopefully the wonderful British humor manages to keep us all afloat and the community spirit is fabulous.
Just why do people wait for a disaster before being nice to each other ?? That's another story, I guess.

Sorry, I haven't been writing for a while,  I am buried (almost) in work.

I am still making my way through the feedback I received (thank you guys, I love you) and I am currently implementing the possibility of adding forgotten diaries. Version 1.3 should be in the store in a couple of weeks.

I am also working on customizing the app for hospital or clinic sleep centers so they can work with their patients data directly. I am looking for some pilot centers, so if that would be of any interest to you (you will need a computer center to treat the data, but that's easy-peasy), don't hesitate dropping me a line.

Last but not least, good news if you live in Spain, in Mexico, in some of the fabulous countries of South America or if you are an expat like me, the Spanish translation is being started as we speak, so you soon will be able to manage your sleep in your own language !

There are a lot of new comers so if you just popped in, are a sleep doctor and would like to try SleepAngel, let yourself be known and I'll get you a free promo code.
That also goes for the ones whose code expired, even for the 2nd time  ; -) Yes I know, we are all too busy . . .

'til next time and in the meanwhile, may you have a great night sleep.

Saturday 11 January 2014

Ciao a tutti . . .

This week has been a good one.

Firstly the bad weather kind of receded where we are and we had a couple of very sunny days. The Met Office announced we should brace for Siberian temperatures next week though, but hey, let's just enjoy what we have now.

Last but not least the version 1.2 of SleepAngel was accepted by Apple tonight. I am used to submit Apps and updates, but still when I receive this email saying "Your app status is : Processing for App Store" it's a moment of relief, last small proof I wasn't up to too much nonsense  ; -)   I don't think I will ever change, it's like stage freight, it's a kind of healthy positive feeling, showing you are well alive.

Excepted correcting small bugs and applying some cosmetic surgery here and there, the major change is that we now support Italian.

No time to breathe, a charming lady from a Spanish Sleep Center kindly offered to translate into her language and I got similar offers from Poland and Finland. Looks like the next months are going to be pretty busy. Don't get the impression I am complaining, I am bordering to being workaholic.

'til next time and in the meanwhile, may you have a great night sleep.

Saturday 4 January 2014

And here we are in 2014 . . .

Firstly let me wish you all a very prosperous New Year, full of happiness and success.

May be you saw on the news that United Kingdom is currently battered from severe gales and torrential rain. Thankfully, we are not too much flooded in our area and life goes on, but we are seriously longing for spring.

I would like to thank many of you for the very constructive feedback you sent about SleepAngel. I won't tell names but you certainly will recognize yourself, so a massive thank you to you. It helped me correcting some minor bugs and I started implementing some of your requests, with more to come in the next month.

If your mother tongue is Italian, be happy as we are now supporting this language. The updated version should be in the App Store in a couple of days.

Some of you also emailed about their promo codes having expired before getting a chance to use them.  If it is your case,  don't worry, I know we are all so busy and with the Christmas Holidays in between, it wasn't ideal. Just contact me again and I will provide another one, no trouble.

'til next time and in the meanwhile, may you have a great night sleep.

Tuesday 24 December 2013

It's Christmas . . .

We all at Sleep Angel would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and all the best for the year 2014.

We will be back next year, though we always keep an eye on your comments and requests.

'til next time and in the meanwhile, may you have a great night sleep.

Thursday 5 December 2013

Some promo codes later . . .

I must say I am absolutely amazed at the support we are receiving.

Evaluations are not finished yet, as there are still people contacting us, but the feedback we receive is very positive and may I say it feels as good as honey on a sore throat.

After all when Sleep professionals from US to China through Europe tell they like what you developed, it has to mean you did something right. I will be back in a while to let you know more.

The Italian version will be in the App Store soon and some partners have proposed to translate into Spanish, Polish and Finnish so that will be an exciting project for 2014.

Last but not least, Android lovers can start being happy. They still need a bit of patience, but an Android App will be making its way to them in 2014 !

'til next time and in the meanwhile, may you have a great night sleep.

Tuesday 26 November 2013

Welcome to Sleep Angel

How time can pass by so quickly, I don't know, may be I am getting older, after all.

It sounds like yesterday when we were talking with Professor Dieter Riemann (heading the Center for Sleep Research and sleep Medicine from the University Medical Center of Freiburg, Germany) about writing a mobile sleep diary that would allow Sleep Disorders patients to collect data in the comfort of their own home and transmit them instantly to a Sleep Specialist.

A year later, SleepAngel has its place in the AppStore and is currently tested by Sleep Professionals in not less than 15 different countries.

It is available in English, German, French and the Italian version will be available beginning of December. Many of our Sleep Partners have proposed to translate into their own language, so more versions will follow.

If you want to be kept informed about anything new regarding SleepAngel, you have come to the right place.

'til next time and in the meanwhile, may you have a great night sleep.
